A brand new label with two brand new artists to promote. Sent on a nice slice of white vinyl, always a pleasant change. A Love Supreme hail from Leeds and the PR blurb makes note of their love of dub, reggae, jazz crossed with The Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel which has been described as like “Shaun Ryder fronting Santana”. Which on the evidence of this single seems a pretty far off the mark comment to be honest. On the evidence of the single track it sounds like a under produced demo from The Corals outtakes. Maybe I am missing something but it didn’t really make much of an impression on me.

Jonjo Feather hails from a lovely little town near me called Hebden Bridge and has been described as the future of British Guitar Music. Well, he has done all right for himself has the lad. Trips to New York, Paris and over Europe have secured him a nice fan base and press attention I don’t doubt. “I Suppose” sounds like Elliot Smith with added dance influences and distortion. Which makes it a nice enough track but nothing really special.

Two bands, not bad at all, but not really that great.
