Latest to push the boundaries of the alternative/post-hardcore scene to new, more melodic heights are the intensely progressive Norwich outfit Avosetta.
Blending influences from such heavyweights as Alexisonfire, Thrice and Finch, the Norfolk five-piece successfully combines driving riffs, soaring, catchy vocals and a brutal rhythm section, producing a refreshingly original assault!
The band, consisting of Sam (vocals), Jack (guitar), Ben (guitar), Will (drums) and Jay (Bass/vocals), are all seasoned and accomplished live performers, with a number of previous projects and successful shows under their belts; Avosetta deliver sublimely tight, technical performances in a storm of energy and enthusiasm, which is often imitated within the scene, but rarely rivalled.
The band's creative output is prolific, but a mature approach and a healthy level of objective, self-criticism ensures a consistently high quality of works, which keep the pressure on, right to the end!
Since March '08 the group have been practicing religiously to write and refine their songs and compile an impressive, electrifying live set. Hungry for success and having already secured a publishing deal, the future is already looking promising for the Norfolk Quintet. |
