Appologies to the ’Gone Feral’ who I missed, but I did arrive in enough time to catch ’ROUND 2’, a rough round the edges hardcore punk outfit with need of a few singing lessons.

Fortunatly, the final support band came up trumps. ’At Her Majesty’s Pleasure’ (AHMP) are a brand new metal/punk/rock band, made up from the remnants of various Leicester bands, including the first time vocals from Kris Tearse previously a drummer... this guy has some serious lungs on him and made a big impact on the audience with what was described to me as similar vocals to ’At The Drive In’ singer ’Cedric Bixler-Zavala’. The set featuring never heard before tracks ’Capone’, ’Dead In The Soup’ & ’Smokescreen Patriotic’, was a genre mixed bag, with Metal riffs blending into punk rock and back to rock, sounding much like a punk rock version of Rage Against the Machine with a bit of Sepultura on the side!

And finally, on to the metal/ska/punk band ’Random Hand’, for thier first ever headling tour. The guys played a tightknit jucy piece of punk rock to an audience of willing moshers and soon to be fans. These guys could give any band a run for their money on the energy front, although Robin (Trombone & Vocals) admitted finding it challenging having such a long set after being used to the shorter support slots (thus the chill out track strategically placed near the end). So, it was great tonight to have called for an encore and gotten it... only to find that it was the only song they have that they haven’t already played!

Highlights from the set have to be the mighty ’Scum Triumphant’ and the blaring siren Ska/metal attatck that is ’Anthropolgy’.

Adding to their musical appeal, I also think it helps for a band to have that personality ’likeability’ factor, which comes across with their cheeky banter between songs. over all a great night out and am looking forward to a possible March re-match between the two top bands.
